Our Projects...
Top quality solar PV specialists, working in Devon & Cornwall
Our projects just gives an overview of some of the different types of projects that we have tackled and completed.
All of these projects have been completed and signed off by Eco Services, and are generating at this very moment in the southwest. System sizes can range anywhere from 1kW upto 50kW, but in our projects below we have included a range between 2kW and 10kW, as these are our most popular system sizes.
Solar energy bude, solar energy bideford, solar energy holsworthy, solar energy hartland, solar energy barnstaple, solar energy devon, solar energy cornwall

3.43kW Ground Mounted, Widemouth Bay, Cornwall.
This is a 3.43kW ground mounted system, using BOSCH 245w Modules and an SMA inverter.
We were given the challenge of providing a system that would be completely open to the elements and woul d be right on the cliff's edge.
We decided to go with the all aluminium stand alone "freeland" system for the mounting. This system required us to install a concrete base for the system's mounting kit. We installed a terran under the modules and covered the terran with stone chippings to help prevent any growth around the system.
The system was ground mounted instead of roof mounted to keep the visual impact to a minimum, we mounted the system near the customers wall in his back garden.
The system was just under 14m long and 2m wide, the height of the system is under 1.5m and is neatly tucked away.
Look at the data sheet for the modules and inveter.

3.75kW Roof Mounted System, Woolsery, Devon.
This system is near Woolsery, Devon, with this sytem we tried to keep cost to a minimum yet still utilising the full potential of the system.
We used the quick and sturdy roof bolts for our railing system, which provides good stability for the system and allows us to keep install costs lower.
This system utilises fifteen Hyundai 250w monocrystaline modules and the SMA 3000HF, this gives the install a system size of 3.75kW.
This system will aim to produce 3750kWh year, which on the new (21p) FiT should aim to bring in approx. £1,300 in savings.
This system took only 2 days to install (although spread over different weeks) and was installed to budget and within the contracted time frame. |

2.4kW Roof Mounted System, Bude, Cornwall.
Here is a 2.4kW system, which we completed in Bude, Cornwall, the system uses ten of the Phono 240w modules and an SMA inverter.

The system is split as an East West system with five modules east and five modules west, the customer did have a south facing roof on their house, but decided to utilise the garage roof, keeping the modules away from the property.
This system has been monitored by the customer since it's installation and up to date has produced as much electricity as the customer has used.
This is one of the smaller sized installations that we have been involved in, and we are very pleased with it's performance, this system just shows how much electricity you can produce even if you are not facing south.

3.84kW Roof Mounted System, St Austell, Cornwall.
This is a system which is again based next to the cliffs edge, here we had to work in torrential rain and wind conditions to get the system installed in time.

This is a standard type of system comprising of sixteen 240w BOSCH modules, giving the system a kWp of 3.84, we again used an SMA inverter along with the Sunnybeam wireless monitor.
The system installation time on this project was 3 days, this was maily because of the slate roof, which takes more time to mount the roofing brackets.
This system is designed to withstand the elements, and uses the renusol railing system which is aluminium so will stand up to the salt air. |

3.5kW Ground Mounted System, Hartland, Devon.
This is a 3.5kW ground mounted system, using SANYO HIT250w modules, an SMA inverter and a Sunnybeam wireless monitor.

This particular area in Devon is prone to very high wind speeds, so we decided to double the leg supports on this stand alone "freeland" system.
The customers requirements for this system ment that we need to install the system on a bank in the customers garden, this was particularly difficult due to the limited access. So we used a platformed scaffold ramp to acces the top of the bank with a micro digger, we then bored holes in to the bank to approx 1m in depth. This holes then had a flat platform dug on top of the holes creating a T shaped hole. These holes were then filled with concrete and re-inforced with steel bar.
The system should produce somewhere in the region of 3500-4000kWh year, this gives the customer a great return on investment. This is partly due to the SANYO highly efficient modules which were used in this project. |

4kW Roof Mounted System, Wadebridge, Cornwall.
This system was installed at a property in Wadebridge, Cornwall, and was installed using sixteen SANYO 250w modules and an SMA 3800.

The system was installed on the roof of a dis-ussed shed at the property, and the supply was fed back down to the main house via an underground armoured cable.
This system was installed using the roofing bolts, as the shed roof was made of a timber construction with felt coating, this was the best and most suited bracket solution.
This system should hope to acheive between 4000-5000kWh year giving a potential yearly saving of £2,765, this system was installed under the old FiT of 43.4p.

10kW Ground Mounted System, Kilkhampton, Cornwall.
We installed this 10kW Ground mounted system in time for the higher FiT, the system uses LG 250w modules and four SMA 2000 HF inverters.

The system is mounted on the German made aluminium "Freeland" railing system, this will give the system a very long life expectancy and a very secure fixing as it is secured to the ground with two concrete strip foundations.
This system should generate in the region of 10,000kWh per year, this system will not only power the customers home with electricity but due to the large system size it will also power the customers two new electric boilers. |
