New FiT will still work..

After the Governments shock announcement of the reduction in the FiT (Feed in Tariff) everyone in the solar industry has been left feeling a little glum.

Now that we have all had chance to review the new tariff scheme, the industry has come to realise that the old tariff was at a very high level and with the lowering will still have a big incentive for consumers.

The new <4kW retrofit tariff is currently set at 21p and on an average 4kW system could still return in the region of £1000 per annum, and with the prices of panels at an all-time low, it's a great time to invest.

Feed in tariff rises...

The government has lost the appeal for the FiT, meaning that anyone who has an installation installed between now 25/01/2012 and 03/03/2012 could receive 43.3p kWh for 25 years.

This means that if you invest £8,750 in a Sharp 4kW system you could receive all of your money back within just 4 years! You will then receive payments for a further 21 years!!

The minimum FiT you are guaranteed to receive is 21p kWh for 25 years, so install now to be in with a

chance to receive the 43.3p kWh.
